Web Developer Internship

Problem Solver? Analytical mind? Interest in technology and web stuff? Know a bit of coding? (or would like to know some?) Like working in a small team? Passionate about your own development?

We have some fantastic opportunities for ambitious and organised graduates or postgraduates to join our team as an intern. The role may best suit a computer science graduate, but we are open minded to any discipline. For this internship, attitude, willingness to learn and a work ethic are more important than experience.

You will be part of our web development team helping with new and existing client websites, working on the existing Kenyons website and be involved in server and domain management.

What would you be doing? :

  • Development of new and existing client websites.
  • System administration support of multiple platforms and servers.
  • Troubleshooting any problems that arise.

Essential Skills

  • Keen eye for detail
  • Work ethic
  • Problem solving/troubleshooting
  • Teamwork and effective communication
  • Identify when problems need escalating
  • An open mind and a love of learning new stuff

Other Desirable (not essential) Skills:

  • A degree in Computer Science, IT or similar from a credible institution.
  • Able to code Javascript, HTML, CSS and PHP – extra points for ASP.NET
  • Understanding of API technology (total bonus – not expecting people to apply with that!)
  • Photoshop / Illustrator

Historically, many of our interns have turned this type of opportunity into a full-time career with us.

To apply, please send a copy of your CV and include a covering letter to andy@kenyons.co.uk . CVs without any covering message or with only a generic covering message will be ignored. Tell us; Why you? Why us? It’s amazing but 90% of applicants ignore this bit and wonder why they got no feedback. We did say ‘an eye for detail’, so put in that covering note. Internship will be for 12 weeks. Interviews are likely mid-late May for June start. We reserve the right to close the advert early if there is sufficient quality applications to fill interview slots.

Sorry, but we do not wish to be contacted by any agencies about this or any other role or recruitment service. Only directly by genuine candidates.
