Liverpool Chamber approached us to quote for an urgent job; the brand strategy and creative of an initiative to design effective skills pathways in Liverpool City Region.
The target audiences for this project are businesses of all sizes based in Liverpool City Region - initially focusing on those operating in the sectors of professional services, logistics and warehousing, manufacturing, built environment, and the visitor economy. The other key audience for this project is colleges, universities and training providers.
Liverpool Chamber had been appointed as the Employer Representative Body for the Local Skills Improvement Plan for Liverpool City Region.
The Local Skills Improvement Plan looks to bridge the gap between employers and education providers. Through initiatives like Industry Learning Partnerships (ILPs) and Local Skills Improvement Funds (LSIF), the LSIP promotes workforce development aligned with regional economic growth.
To raise awareness of the initiative and invite relevant audiences to engage, they needed a compelling brand to communicate from - and this needed to be turned around within four weeks.
Shortly after being appointed, we held an initial brand exploration meeting to gather all relevant insights, understand the key areas of focus and priorities for the deadline delivery date.
We developed a brand strategy which included outlining the tone of voice and providing key messages for their identified audiences - the two main audiences and sub groups within these. This direction met their approval and the visual identity, logo, colour palette, font and guidelines were created.
The logo comprises a six-sided star to represent the number of local authorities in Liverpool City Region. The star is a symbol of guidance, which aligns with LSIP's mission. The 'play' triangle in the centre of the star represents new starts and progression.
With the foundations in place, we then provided a suite of assets ready for brand roll out.
The brand and assets have been positively received by stakeholders, with the full roll out due to take place by summer 2025.
