Merseytravel - Walrus - Welcome to a Smarter World

Merseytravel wanted us to create a new, smartcard ticketing brand to make travelling locals embrace the travel revolution and feel proud.

The brand name we created was bold and different - the Walrus travel smartcard. This was a deliberate nod to 'Liverpoolness' – The Beatles’ song I Am The Walrus

The outcome of this work included aspirational designs for the card and all marketing collateral which created real appeal, followed by a successful consumer launch.
